The Yorkshire belongs to the toy breed group. Their weight is about 7 lbs and their height 8 to 9 inches. Their colors are blue and tan. Yorkshire Terriers are born black, gradually attaining their blue and tan coloration as they mature. They much prefer to be held on their owner's lap all day but focus entirely on their owner and are extremely affectionate. It has been said that a Yorkshire Terrier requires more human companionship and attention than any other breed. This breed is also quick to learn. However, training must have consistency and firmness. They do not like to be ignored, so lots of praise will bring out the best in their training.
I love yorkies! I have one at home, and I have to agree with you on them always wanting attention- whenever i'm watching tv he bark at me over and over!

yorkshire terrier is my favorite dog breed. i also agree that they always want attention and that they can be there for you when you are sad.i also agree they dont like to be ignored. i have one of my own at my house and she looks just like the one in the picture they are so cute!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a Yorkie at home and she is so adorable. Her name is Mia and she always want attention from others and even more from Me :) Mia is always on my lap or on my sofa but she always need company!
ReplyDeleteWe almost got a Yorkie. They are so adorable and small. Make sure though that when you buy them that you don't buy them from a puppy mill (a place where people breed numerous amounts of dogs and the dogs are neglected and are extrememly unhealthy) or a petshop/petstore who usually buy from puppy mills.
ReplyDeleteOur neighborhood had a yorkshire terrier. But shes busy at work. So she let me be the one to take care of her cute yorkie. Yeah that dog is super duper want a lot of attention. And dont want to be ignored.. Me as being alone at home at those yorkie without his owner, we really have fun bonding all day :)

ReplyDeleteI am not the kind of person who loves dogs but my friend had 2 yorkshire terriers. Once while visiting her... I was scared. she told me it would be fine and the doggy would not say anything. she let him and her out. And that was the first time I touched a dog. After that I was never scared of any kind of dog. These species mean a lot to me. And yes, their ADORABLE!!!
