Chihuahua

Other than being the oldest dog breed on the continent of North America, Chihuahuas were introduced by the Chinese. They are small-sized dogs, longer than taller and have an apple-shaped head. What I found interesting about this breed is their distinguishing characteristic-erect ears. They kind of look cute like a bunny. Chihuahuas come in many different colors and they are dogs which can turn out to be great companions. They are determined, courageous, intelligent and become very attached to their owner. Personally, if I would have to choose another dog to take home, it would be this one.   Want more information about Chihuahuas? click http://www.greatdogsite.com/breeds/details/Chihuahua/

  1. I think chihuahas are very cute dogs but they can be very authoritorian with their owners. This can be positive but also a bit negative. One thing i dislike about chihuahuas is their barking! i cant stand it! hOWEVER, I HAVE TO ADMIT THEY ARE ADORABLE WHEN QUIET.

  2. Chihuahuas seem to be an ideal pet for children, since they are small and playful. They are incredibly small, measuring 6-9 inches!! The only problem with this type of dog is their aggressivity, they might feel a little insecure because of their size.

  3. I dont really like this breed, I prefer big dogs. Anyways they look very funny.

  4. Oh! I didn't know they were the oldest breed on North America. They can be adorable as long as they like you, but if they don't, they can be pretty annoying. I like them!

  6. I'm not sure if i would like to have a chihuahua however, I have to admit they are adorable. I like these dogs because they are so small, but if it wasn't for their size I wouldn't like to own one.

  9. Yeah I'm not really into Chihuahuas either, but my aunt has one and it is very annoying when it barks! It does not get along well with children and it once bit my little brother! I introduced my Spaniel mix to him and he kept barking at my dog so we decided to keep them apart!

  13. Training a Chihuahua isn't as difficult as one may think, but the idea is to start early before your Chihuahua believes they are running things in the home. You see, the misconception about Chihuahua's is the fact that they are small dogs, and because they are small dogs how much trouble could they really be. Well, if you ask a Chihuahua owner something along those lines, they will tell you that this particular breed of dog will really want things to go their way, most of the time. In order to decrease the chances of this happening, or to get that Chihuahua of yours under control, there are 5 easy techniques that can be used to instill a little more structure in their lives.

  23. Mine (I have two) are trained to only bark on command. Other than that they are the most quiet breed of dog I've ever owned, you wouldn't even know mine walked in the room unless you looked for them. I love this breed, their small enough to pack around, and for me they aren't too much work. Mine are so well trained:) I love all the different breeds of chihuahuas! One of mine are 3pounds and the other 4pounds. My best friend has a deerhead and my other friend has an apple.:))

  25. I've been thinking about getting a Chihuahua/Beagle mix. I really like Chihuahuas, but I don't really want a pure-bred dog. A Blue Heeler might be better for me though.

    What are Teacup Yorkies?
Teacup Yorkie is a smaller version of the same pure breed Yorkie, also known as Toy Yorkie or Micro Yorkshire Terrier. It's a tiny dog breed at about 5 to 7 inches tall, weighing between 2 to 4 pounds. The average lifespan of the Teacup Yorkie is around 12 years. yorkie terrier for sale

Why do they cut Yorkies tails off?
    https://www.newdaypuppies.com/teacup-yorkie-puppies-for-sale/
The main reason that Yorkie tails are docked are for aesthetic purposes. The natural tail is long and sticks up beyond the height of the head. 39. As a lifelong fan of small dog breeds, I found this blog post incredibly informative. It's wonderful to see recognition for breeds like the French Bulldog. Despite their small size, they have big personalities! Frenchies are known for their playful and affectionate nature, making them great companions for apartment living. Their unique appearance and expressive eyes always melt my heart. Reading dog program like this is totally delightful. I appreciate this blog shedding light on different breeds and helping potential dog owners make informed decisions.
